西伊豆から世界の目的地へ！1200年の古道が海外トップメディアの顔になりました。

カナダを拠点に、世界中のマウンテンバイクカルチャーと美しい旅の記憶を伝えるメディア『Freehub Magazine』に、私たちBASE TRES（山伏トレイルツアー / LODGE MONDO / クエビコ）の取り組みを数ページにわたり、特集していただきました。

しかも、なんと僕たちのトレイルが表紙となっています！

今回の取材では、単に「素晴らしいマウンテンバイクのコースがある」ということだけでなく、私たちが活動の根底に置いているストーリーを、驚くほど深い解像度で丁寧に拾い上げてくれています。

• 1,200年の歴史を持つ古道の息吹 かつて炭焼き職人や馬たちが往来し、時代の変遷とともに荒廃して森に埋もれていた古代の道を、私たちが12年以上かけて自らの手で発掘・再生してきた取り組み。
• 日本の文化と、伊豆の圧倒的な自然 伊豆の美しい里山の森、そして天城連山から駿河湾へとダイナミックに繋がる唯一無二のロケーション。
• 森の整備から始まる、エネルギーの循環 古道を維持するための森林整備で出た木質資源（薪）が、「LODGE MONDO」の給湯・暖房になり、薪火レストラン「クエビコ（Quebico）」のガスゼロの調理エネルギーとなる、山と海の完璧なクローズドループ。

海外のジャーナリストの目を通じて、私たちが泥臭く続けてきた「遊びがそのまま環境保全と地域創生に直結するシステム」が、世界基準の価値であると証明されたことは、これ以上ない誇りです。

そして、今回の取材ロケにおいて、海外クルーを完璧なライディングとホスピタリティでアテンドし、西伊豆のトレイルの魅力を120%引き出してくれた西脇仁哉（ @jinya_nishiwaki ）に感謝を。

【Our Trail Made the Cover of Freehub Magazine! We are becoming a World-Class Destination!】

We are thrilled to share some incredible news! Our project here at BASE TRES (Yamabushi Trail Tours / LODGE MONDO / Quebico) has been featured in a multi-page story in Canada’s world-renowned mountain bike media, Freehub Magazine!

Even more mind-blowing—our very own trail made the front cover! This feature goes way beyond just showcasing a great place to ride. The journalists captured the profound, high-resolution narrative that drives everything we do:

• The Breath of 1,200-Year-Old Ancient Trails The story chronicles our 12-year journey of hand-digging and restoring ancient paths once used by traditional charcoal burners and packhorses, which had been abandoned and buried in the forest for generations.
• Japanese Culture & Izu’s Breathtaking Nature It captures the spiritual beauty of Izu’s Satoyama forests and our unique location, where the Amagi mountain range drops dynamically right into the Suruga Bay.
• Forest Maintenance to Energy Circulation The wood resources (firewood) harvested from our trail maintenance power the heating and hot water for “LODGE MONDO,” and serve as the 100% gas-free cooking energy for our wood-fired restaurant, “Quebico.” It’s a perfect closed-loop system connecting the mountains to the sea.

To have a global journalist validate our years of grunting work—proving that “recreation equals conservation and community revitalization”—is an absolute honor.
